Public Safety
FOR EMERGENCIES, DIAL 911
The Westminster Fire and Rescue Department and Golden Cross Ambulance Service respond to Town of Westminster fire, rescue, and medical calls.
For public safety issues or concerns, the Windham County Sheriff serves as the Town’s law and traffic enforcement agency.
The Vermont State Police Department serves as secondary law enforcement as needed.
Public Health
The Town Health Officer is responsible for:
- Investigating possible public health hazards and risks within the municipality
- Taking action to prevent, remove, or destroy any such hazards
- Taking action to mitigate significant public health risks
- Enforcing health laws, rules, and permit conditions, and taking the steps necessary to enforce orders
