Absentee Ballots for November 5th General Election
The Vermont Secretary of State Election Division mailed absentee ballots to all registered voters for the November 5th General Election. On September 9th and 20th, the Elections Division exported voter mailing addresses from the Vermont Elections Management System, in preparation of mailing absentee ballots to all voters by September 25. Each Vermont Town Clerk’s office also received a limited supply of absentee ballot materials for mailing to new voters and new town residents, who registered after the September export dates. Westminster voters that prefer to vote in person, should bring their mailed ballot with them to the Westminster Institute to cast their ballot on voting day, instead of mailing back their ballot to the Town Clerk for processing. Voters that do not bring their mailed ballot with them will be required to complete and sign an affidavit form that attests they have not yet voted in the General Election. Only then can they be handed a ballot to cast at the polls. Please contact your Town Clerk’s office with any questions or for additional information: clerk@westminstervt.org, or call 802-722-4091.
November Voting News
The Vermont Secretary of State’s office will be mailing General Election ballots to all active voters in the state. They will be exporting voter data for the mailing on or around September 2. As soon as possible, voters should go to their My Voter Page (https://mvp.vermont.gov/) and confirm it lists a valid mailing address to ensure receipt of the General Election ballot. Ballots cannot be forwarded by the USPS, so voters who intend to be away on November 5 should go to their My Voter Page and update the mailing address for that election.
